MESSY MOON

Back in October we started a project on the Solar System and as we then took November and most of December as a holiday we are still working on it (plus there is loads to be covered). Next week inshaaAllaah we will be making a paper mache moon. I used to love paper mache as a child and I just know that the children will absolutely love having a go at it, well it is messy after all!

TIME FOR CHANGE

OK so the 'new year' is upon us and what better time for a few changes inshaaAllaah. We have had a break due to the arrival of our new baby I and we are due to resume on the 2nd of January 2012 (I just got used to writing 2011).

The plan is less workbooks and less written work and more fun!! Lately (perhaps due to the stress of pregnancy) I found myself becoming a 'teacher' and I promised myself at the beginning of our journey that I would never do that. I am not a teacher I am simply a mother who believes that I can help my children learn far better than any school system. So it is out with the workbooks (OK maybe a few can stay) and in with the fun, fun, fun. Watch this space....
